MEDICAL CAMP
A REPORT ON MEDICAL CAMP ON 22-11-09
On the occasion of the National Pharmacy Week 2009, Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Indore Madhya Pradesh organized a free health checkup camp on 22nd November 2009 in village Dakachya, near Indore. Doctors of 5 different disciplines attended the camp. The faculty and the students of the institute distributed the prescribed medicines free of cost to the about 400 villagers who were registered in the camp; briefing them about the safe use of the prescription medicines

The students performed street shows and presented posters in the village and created awareness about swine flu, heart disease, drug addiction, water borne diseases & AIDS, thus understanding about the roll of pharmacist in public health. They detailed about the symptoms, prevention, treatment, financial & social repercussion associated with the above diseases.

CAMP OBJECTIVES
  1. To provide medical service and consultation to the villagers at their doorstep.
  2. To provide quality medicines, vitamins, antibiotics, etc…
  3. To increase awareness of basic hygiene, awareness and prevention  of most common diseases among the villagers like AIDS
