Department of Computer Science
The Department has started Computer Science course in the year 2009 with the aim to develop core competence in Computer Science and prepare the students to carry out the development work, as well as to take up the challenges in research.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES :
The Computer Science program is designed to provide the student with the foundations of the discipline as well as the opportunity for specialization. Six objectives are addressed:
  • Development of the ability to work effectively as an individual or as a team member to produce correct, efficient, well-organized and documented programs in a reasonable time
  • Development of the ability to recognize problems that are amenable to computer solutions, and knowledge of the tools necessary for solving such problems.
  • Development of the ability to assess the implications of the work performed.
  • Development of an understanding of basic computer architecture and operations.
  • Preparation to pursue in-depth training in one or more application areas, or further education in computer science.
  • Development of the ability to communicate effectively
COMPUTER LAB :
  • Equipped with Dell Vostro220 computers, these laboratories support students enrolled in the Engineering. This laboratory is used for experiments to learn the fundamental concepts of computer organization and design. Experiments are performed in assembly language, C++, JAVA, DOTNET, DBMS, Data Structure, OOT etc. This lab is available for student usage. These PCs have internet access as well as software needed for courses, home works, assignments and projects.

Three day technical festival EUREKA-2010 from 18-20 November, 2010.

The theory lecture and tutorials on ADAMS CAR designing software used by BAJA Teams, for developing ATV, SAE India. The training programme is being sponsored by SAE INDIA, INDORE and CSM Software Bangalore.

The students of 1st and 2nd year of Mechanical Branch visited the BAJA-2011 at Pithampur.

Training programme on IC engines for assembling & disassembling of Three cylinder IC engines sponsored by SAEINDIA, INDORE.

The annual cultural Fest organized on 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th of MAY 2011.The inaugural ceremony of Glanz-2011 was held on 5th May 2011.

The Techtrix quiz has been organized under the CSI student Branch.

Seminar by Dr. K. Babu, Project Manager in Infosys on the topic of Software Engineering Perspective in Industrial Scenario.

Seminar by Mr. Vismay Choudhary, Software Developer Amdocs on the topic of Mobile Computing and Network Security.

Seminar by Mr. Madhav Negi, CSC on the topic of Software Technology in Real Life Scenario.

A Guest lecture by M.P.S. Chawla on the topic of Analog and Digital Communication.

CAD Seminar delivered by Mr. Roshan Chaple.

Mr. Rizwan Khan, from Green Event Media Service gave a special lecture on ‘Brand Advertising’.

Mr. Pankaj Khirsagar, Regional Head-Business Standards MP & CG briefed on the topic “How do media people organize and give coverage to the Events ?”
