Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the science of exploring the natural resources of power and propulsion and materials of engineering construction through the design, development, production, installation and operation of power plants, transport equipments and industrial plants besides the organization and administration of such plants.

Mechanical engineering continues to play a key role in developing, operating and manufacturing new machines, devices and processes to benefit mankind. Mechanical engineers apply their creative imaginations and professional skills to combine both theory and practice/practical in a variety of situations. For this, they need an in-depth understanding of scientific principles and engineering processes. They also need to be able to develop solutions to real-life problems in the face of conflicting requirements. Mechanical engineers in the commercial world combine technical and management skills to retain the competitive advantage for their companies.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Transnational knowledge society group of institution in faculty of Engineering has well equipped laboratories which are comparable to any national level institute.

MISSION STATEMENT :
The overall mission of the Department is to deliver world-class scholarship, education and research in Mechanical Engineering, with particular regard to their application in industry, healthcare and commerce.

  • To build a foundation of knowledge in by integrating a variety of project experiences at every level throughout the curriculum.
  • To make our graduates experts in practical problem solving with abstract thinking skills
  • To make our students life-long learners capable of building their careers upon a solid foundation of knowledge.
  • To make our students competent in communicating technical materials and concepts in individual and group situations.
  • They should be able to apply with confidence the basic sciences and mathematics to their professional activities.
